Following on from seeing a whitethroat outside our office door this morning I decided to have a lunchtime wander across to Greetwell Hollow LWT reserve. Sure enough the place was jumping with whitethroats (and blackbirds) gorging themselves on blackberries and elderberries. Estimated at least 30 whitethroats with 25 blackbirds and a few chiffchaffs (one in song), bullfinches, blackcaps and song thrushes. A 50 plus flock of linnets were also around.
