take the road south from the Prussian queen, then west along the narrow road past the church for about a mile and the wet grass field is on the south side next to the river bank

Thanks for the info John, I checked out the site this afternoon, 1 Wood Sandpiper, 7 Green Sand, 1 Lapwing and a few Teal. Viewed from the south bank of the Long Eau.
It's amazing what you can do with a wet field, just add a few wader scrapes and you've got an instant bird reserve. It's what Elm House Farm, Saltfleetby St. Clement would be like if they could get the drain holes blocked I should imagine. Do you know if they will try again?
Also looked in at Manby Flashes, there are now 19 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Ruff, 1 Green Sand and 6 Greylag there.

Spendlows has the advantage of water supply from the adjacent Eau Geoff,
but still some problems at Elm House, and have emailed them to managers some months ago.
so some hope it will improvenext year. regards John.
