3rd July. At Grainthorpe, watched as a kestrel chase after a barn owl that was carrying a vole and it tried to nick it. It failed and returned to village empty taloned! Young hungry kestrel or older braver adult? |

Hi Colin, I have seen a Kestrel rob a Barn Owl of its catch, in that instance it was certainly an adult Kestrel. Roy |
