After waking at four I decided to have my first days birding since the Mull and Moray hols nearly a month ago. After coming on here and checking what was about thought it would be good to visit Worlaby after reading Steve's report. Here is what I saw or heard:
Worlaby: 0815 - 1030 & 1505 - 1620
Swallow - 8
House Martin - 11
Kestrel - 2
Linnet - 86
Goldfinch - 9
Osprey - 1 juv seen at 0845 between Pipe Bridge and Appleby PS.
Buzzard - 1
Pied Wag - 1
Sprawk - 1
Quail - 1 it was accidently flushed by a train.
Mistle Thrush - 1
Chiffchaff - 2
Swift - 5
Bonby Carrs: 1035 - 1500
Yellow Wagtail - 2m 1f
Reed Bunting - 3m
Kestrel - 2
Sedge Warbler - 2 [ cracking views in the dyke alongside set aside]
Osprey - 1 juv [ seen from midday to 1330, got close-up video and distant pics]
Swift - 8
Skylark - 3
Mipit - 2
Mallard - 1
Goldfinch - 15.

It never entered my head to go to Saxby for the Crane, I have just seen the pics on album.
I wasn't very pleased at waking at such an early time but as it turned out it was well worth it, I actually saw the Osprey closer than any I saw in Scotland
