I had a phone call this morning re "unusual" birds at a garden nijer feeder at Osgodby Moor (TF09 W). I went along to see three newly fledged Siskins on the ground being fed by an adult female! Judging by the date, they may well be a second brood. They are regularly wintering and on passage in the Market Rasen area but this is my first confirmed breeding record. |
