A walk along the Sincil Drain between Fitness First and the back of the Lincoln City Tip produced the following birds this evening between 2000 and 2200:
1 x Grasshopper Warbler seen and heard reeling between 2115 and 2145pm.
1 x Kingfisher, on the Sincil Drain.
2 x Barn Owls, hunting and caught two mice/voles.
5 x Stock Doves
3 x Sedge Warblers, my firsts of the year.
6 x Greenfinches
1 x Grey Wagtail, on the Sincil Drain.
2 x Mistle Thrush
2 x Song Thrush
A party of 13 Swifts screaming above,
1 x kestrel
1 x (m) Great Tit with two fledglings,
1 x Jackdaw.
Heard 1 x Cuckoo
Heard 1 x Willow Warbler
Heard 2 x Chiff chaff
All these birds can be seen within a 20 minute walk of Stamp End Lock...cheers, Matthew.
