After work yesterday spent and hour or so at both hides. Was quite alarmed at how far the pumping station side scrapes were looking parched. The water levels were alot lower than they were about 3 weeks ago on my last visit. Will this have any affect on movement of bird life, and if so what would be the wider birding implications?

Sightings,

Pumping Station Hide

Lapwing
Shelduck with young
Canada Geese with young
Mallard
Avocet
Black Headed Gull
Coot
Pied Wagtail
Mute Swan
Common Tern
Jackdaw
Goldfinch
Magpie

LWT Hide
Mallard
Grey Heron,

I thne got hooked on trying to look for any Sedge and Reed Warblers, so didn't pay much notice to what was on the water,

Did see a couple of Reed Warblers!!

Andrew
