Black kite - flew sout down the west dunes and then west, possibly going down onto the farmland at 0930 Golden Oriole - imm male brief song then flew NW out of East Dunes Rosefinch - a bird heading south and calling twice was probably a rosefinch Glaucous Gull - 1st sum still around Med Gull 2 (adult and 1st sum) Manx shearwater 8 north Crossbill 9 south Siskin 2 south Hobby Peregrine Common Buzzard Wheatear Cheers Kev |

Missed all the goodies and the hoped for Terek Sandpiper never materialized but a Short-eared Owl hunting over the saltmarsh at 16:45 was good to see. |

If all the recent sightings of black kite relate to the same bird then it has taken to ranging almost as widely as the W T Eagle - it has been seen at Gib four times and Spurn twice since it was found on the Wolds. Kev |
