Just returned from a jog at 6.30pm around Black Holt, stepped into the back garden and a Pratincole sp (prob Collared) flew over within a few metres of me - heading from West to East, suspect moving from Tattershall / Coningsby lakes or just a fly by. If I wasnt already knackered I would go back and try Black Holt area as there is a big gathering of Swallows hawking flies about.
Could not confirm any colours underneath wings as observed exposure was only about 10 seconds, but size, flight as it banked and short forked tail instantly made me recall Frampton Marsh ones I saw (ie both Pratincoles). White under belly, dusty head and back and it was gone.
Also around Black Holt: 12 Swallows 5 Whitethroat 2 yellowhammer 3 Yellow Wagtails 3 Pied Wagtails 2 Grey Partridge 1 Chiffchaff 1 Cuckoo
Cheers
