Dear Russell I too was delighted to see both the M & F Garganey this evening from the hide. The drake is indeed a splendid fellow. They seem to readily associate with Teal! The real highlight for me this evening was my first Garden Warbler for 2011. What a wonderful even flowing warble! This one delivered, as would be expected, from cover while moving about.
