Had a ride down to Gibraltar Point this afternoon. Not much there although the Avocet were good to see. A surprise was a Crane that flew low over Tennyson Sands heading south. On way back to Saltfleet had another surprise seeing the Purple Heron close to the road in field near the road junction to Marsh Yard/Moggs Eye. Didn't even need to stop the car, jammy or what? Noticing a car at Huttoft Pit, I called in to the hide to tell the birders the news, they said they'd been there 5 hours, hope they saw it OK.
Terry and Roy, thanks for the kind words and nice photos Roy.
