A quick ride out on my bike to Black Holt, observed the following: 1 Pied Wagtail (no Yellow's yet) 2 Swallows 1 Pheasant 8 Red-legged Partridges (all paired up) 5 Chaffinch 3 Great Tit 2 Mallard (Pr) 7 Rook 3 Blue Tit 6 Woodpigeon 2 Magpie Noticeable absentees: Yellowhammers, Grey Partridge, Great Spotted Woodpecker. Also 3 Sand Martins observed in flight this morning at RAF Woodhall main pit. 4 Oystercatchers, 1 Kestrel and 1 Common Buzzard see from the golf course. |
