LIVE PEREGRINE CAMERA AT LOUTH

Bob Sheppard informs me that the Peregrines at Louth are showing interest in the nest tray he put up on the North side of St James Church, Louth. Hopes are high that they might nest soon.

Before the breeding season, churchwarden Robert Haynes kindly installed a camera by the nest tray and he has now linked this to a screen in the Church.

This can be viewed throughout March on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9am and 11-30am daily and on Saturdays from 9am to 12 noon.

From 4th April it will be from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Saturday when a cafeteria will be serving light refreshments.

LBC members who see any action on the tray are asked to report their findings on this website please.

Viewed the screen this morning – had to ask for it to be switched on. No activity, though there was a single bird below the walkway on the east side.
While we were there, visitors were allowed to climb the tower and when we questioned this, we were told that the peregrine activity was mainly at night and if they were seen to be breeding, the tower would be shut.
