Drake and one redhead quite separate in the pool opposite works entrance at 5.30pm yesterday. if anyone is going check out the big pools on the opposite side of the road going towards Conningsby.Right against the far bank unfortunately in fast fading light was a grebe with a dark neck and dark cheeks. Looked like a Red Necked Grebe in winter plumage still, but in bad lightand at a distance without my scope I am not really sure... Let me know if you see it. Ian |

Henry Kennedy thought he saw a Red-necked Grebe at Kirkby on Bain on Sunday but looking into the light couldn't be sure. So sounds likely that there is one about. |

Thanks Russell, I've since checked all my guides and BWP and I am now certain it was a Red Necked Grebe. Your mail has given me the confidence to confirm it. Best regards, Ian |
