Post subject:  Ferriby Sluice/Reed's Island/Worlaby: 27.02

On the way to Ferriby spotted two Kes, one Buzz and one Fieldfare.

Next to H & A were a few Wigeon and Mallard with some Redshank close to the old boat.

Over on the Island and mudflats were Pink-Feet, Redshank, Cormorant, Canada's, Teal, Wigeon, Mallard, Shelduck, Gulls and Avocet.

Heard some interesting news. Even before I got to the lane down to the Carrs I could see the sun reflecting in the dozens of cars parked along the lane. Soon need a warden directing the traffic  Virtually all the cars were at the crossing must have been a couple of dozen, never seen so many. Let's hope the owls put in an appearance for the audience

The following birds were seen on the carrs and surrounding area: Corn Bunting - 25, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Skylark, C Buzzard, Mute Swan, SEO - 1, Shoveler, Wigeon, Mallard, Magpie, Crow, Teal, and lots of Wood Pigeons.

Regards

John
