Had half hour at Mere hide from 11.45 to 12.15 Sunday 27.02.11 (CJ Ref TF954 714) 2F and 1M Goosander at East end 100+ Black Headed Gulls 20 Tufted Duck 6 Cormorant 2M + 1F Gadwall 10 Greylag 1M Shoveler See from footpath down from Tritton Road to hide 3M + 1F Bullfinch East of crossing (Ref TF963 706) - still there on return plus 2 Chaffinch, 2 Long Tailed Tits and 1 Wren 3M + 3F Bullfinch near farm (Ref TF958 709) 1 Kestrel 12 Magpie 18 Moorhen 2 Goldcrest (Ref TF957 711) Green Woodpecker heard calling frequently |
