Male & female Smew still present this morning
10 Siskin in alders along roadside
10 Goldeneye
1 Redshank
1 Small Wader in flight probably a Dunlin
Plus the usual Gulls, Ducks etc.

Russell,
I was at Kirkby Pits on Friday (25 Feb) and also saw the smew (male and 2 redheads) on the pits opposite the quarry depot. Also had a ringed plover flying over calling and two oystercatchers.
