Yellowhammer - flock now increased to minimum 60 - always in same field Skylark - 30 Goldfinch - 12 Pheasant - 10 Corvids - 100 - mainly Rooks Kestrel - 1 Wren - 3 on different territories Red-legged partridge - 2 Fieldfare - 12 Song Thrush - 2 in full voice Mistle Thrush - 2 Long-tailed tits - 12 Garden: Tree Sparrows - maximum 32 - the regular groups of 14 & 8 birds joined by a further group of 10. Now spending much more time in the garden & have been exploring nest boxes. Stock Dove - 2 Great-Spotted Woodpecker Wren Robin - 2 Dunnock - 3 Blackbird - 8 Magpie - 2 - have now begun their usual activity of breaking small branches off birch tree for nest lining Long-tailed tits - 6 |
