Visited the Scrape this morning 11.00-12.15. Lots of bird seen from the roadside but did paddle to the hide. Birds seen: About 100 Redwing Similar number Fieldfare Over 100 Wigeon 2 Canada Geese 10 Mallard 1 Carrion Crow 2 Blackbird 2 Blue Tit 12 Goldfinch 2 Red Legged Partridge 12 Starling 1 Pheasant 1 Cormorant 2 Magpie 10 Black Headed Gull 5 Wood Pigeon |

a pair of goosander and a little egret were the highlights of a brief roadside stop this afternoon as the rain began to fall A huge flock of wigeon were around the pools - a good size flock of fieldfare and starling were in the vicinity too |
