A very windy, but mild, morning on the patch:- 4 Pochard, 22 Tufted Duck & 5 Cormorants on the mere. 1 Little Egret & 2 Grey Herons on Catchwater drain. 1 Kingfisher on the sluice, good to see a survivor. 1 Green Woodpecker on the tip. 1 Mealy & 18 Lesser Redpolls feeding in silver birches by borrow pit. 2 Bullfinches. |
