a 3cy male Hen Harrier on the upper Humber has a displaced / missing primary on the right wing; an adult female seen yesterday at Read's Island is missing 3-4 primaries on the right wing -- such losses are not usually accidental
On the Moors keepers now regularly target harrier roosts through the winter killing birds from all breeding areas not even just local individuals; but never mind when Cameron and his cronies have sold the country's natural assets to the highest bidder for destruction and exploitation we can all give up birding

See Andrews post in general birding and sign that petition at least

That could explain the disappearance of the birds from Worlaby, especially the very photogenic juv. male from November!.

There are some moronic people out there indeed!.

Its not often this happens but i agree with every word said here, damm gamekeepers,i could throttle em,they raise pheasants ,protect grouse all so some rich folk can go up there and blast em to smithereens, and they begrudge a hen harrier a few of the birds, usually they pick out the least fit birds so i understand.
All shooting should be banned, that would put a stop to it,also im worried by Cameron selling off the forests, crazy!!!hes trebled the students fees and even got rid of the £30 wkly grant help they get towards their bus fares/meals etc etc,the country" s going to the dogs!!!.
Regards ,
Rog.
Ps.ive signed the petition and wrote to my MP!!!everyone should do the same!!.
