As I had to call in at Maidenhead Aquatics, Whisby, this morning (Fri) re my tropical fish/accessories (a great new hobby), and as I hadn't visited the WSHughs' Waxwing sites since 25th January, I decided to make two short detours en route to, and en route from, Whisby.

En route to (0955) : Nothing to report (NTR) at
(i) the Office Complex area
(ii) the WSH Roundabout
(iii) the WSH - Thurlby Road area.

En route from (10.35) : NTR from (i) or (ii) above, BUT, having parked in the blocked-off entrance to the Swinderby Industrial Park opposite Cuckoo Walk, I immediately saw the Waxwing silhouettes to the right.

There were 12 perching/feeding along the row of bushes/saplings bordering the road and the back gardens of the houses there. :D :) This was the first time this winter that I have seen the WSH Waxwings in this area on the WSH - Thurlby road.

Regards,

Freddy
