The weekly grandfatherly duties at Dunston were enhanced by a skein of c140 Pink-footed Geese south west over the village at 1140. More surprising were two Lesser Redpolls in the hedge on the public footpath between Dunston and Nocton level with Nocton Cricket Pitch.

Pinkfeet moving again today, 14 Jan. Approx. 70 SE over Woodhall Spa this morning. I lived in Nocton for 19 years, until 4.5 years ago and often recorded migrating pinkfeet there. Many seem to use a flight path between the Witham and Lincoln Heath in autumn and spring. My impression since moving to Woodhall is that I see fewer overhead on the east side of the river.
