Post subject:  Thrushes in my BBH garden 29th/30th Dec

With the arrival out of the mist and gloom of a lone Fieldfare today (Thu), there has been a succession of members of the Thrush family in my Bracebridge Heath garden yesterday and today:

plus
Redwing (up to 3)
Mistle Thrush
Song Thrush - failed to solve the removal riddle of the crabapples
Blackbird (5 or 6) - some have now successfully worked out how to grab and pull/twist off the
crabapples, usually taking them under bushes to enjoy the fruits of their
labour.
and Robin.

After the garden Waxwing on Christmas Eve, 4 Waxwings visited on Mon 27th Dec and 3 on Tue 28th Dec, but none seen since.

Regards,

Freddy

PS. No sign of the High Street, Lincoln Waxwings this morning (12.00 - 12.30) - or of many surviving berries on their favourite tree by the Lincoln Magistrates Courts.
