A patch day today, which sounds more like a remedy for an unhealthy habit that you would buy from the chemist, than a mornings birdwatching. with what I saw today I am certainly cured of my unhealthy habit.

Very quiet day.

A male and female bearded tit, noisey and easy to see on the foreshore; cetti's warbler singing form 2 sites, a bar tailed godwit on Chowder and 12 black tailed godwit on the foreshore; a siskin passed west and a male goldeneye was on Bridge Pit.

I was never too far away from redwing and goldcrest are amongst the hawthorn.

Still a hint of starling passage evident and I was told of an evening roost of up to 1000 at the moment.
