Did a circular walk from Rowgate Hill via Farforth and Oxcombe but failed to see the RLB. We did see at least four Buzzards, a roosting Barn Owl and two Peregrines - a juvenile was feeding on a kill in a field by Rowgate Hill.

Also visited Nocton Fen where there were c 3,000 Golden Plovers and c 2,000 Lapwings. There was also one Little Owl in its usual barn, 2 Peregrines on the Sugar Beet chimney, another Buzzard and 100 Fieldfare.

Cheers,

David Cohen
