A monthly update of the number of days peregrine present on St.James, Louth. Was told that there were 3 peregrines present yesterday, which I doubted, However I have just seen 3 on St James at 17.15. 2 together on spire and one on far side of tower. Amazing! August: male 15 days + pair 1 day. September: male 17 days (calling most days) + pair 2 days. October: male 16 days (calling most days) + pair 9 days (performing spectacular display flights with raucous calling by both). November report at end of month. Note, the birds may have been present more frequently, but not recorded by us. Geoff & Julia |
