The three firsts were:

* An immature Gannet swooping offshore
* At the same time, a Woodcock flying inland halfway between spit shelter and Cut End Bird Hide.
* 5 mins later, a Great Skua seen disturbing birds on Wash mudflats.

Other highlights:

Wigeon - enormous number on the lagoon, whistling away!
Brent Goose - anywhere on the lagoon where the Wigeon had left room!
Curlew - roughly 20 on the wetland grass
Black-tailed Godwit - about 30 with the Curlew
Golden Plover - 10 on lagoon islands
Sanderling - 5 or so on shoreline mud.

Managed to miss the Woodcock and Great Skua, but did see a Water Pipit - at least one bird at Witham Mouth this morning with Rock Pipits.
