The three firsts were:
* An immature Gannet swooping offshore * At the same time, a Woodcock flying inland halfway between spit shelter and Cut End Bird Hide. * 5 mins later, a Great Skua seen disturbing birds on Wash mudflats.
Other highlights:
Wigeon - enormous number on the lagoon, whistling away! Brent Goose - anywhere on the lagoon where the Wigeon had left room! Curlew - roughly 20 on the wetland grass Black-tailed Godwit - about 30 with the Curlew Golden Plover - 10 on lagoon islands Sanderling - 5 or so on shoreline mud.
