Over last two days:- 25 Wigeon 23 Pochard 9 Tufted Duck 6 Cormorants 3 Common Buzzards (17th) 2 Water Rails feeding in open in fresh cutting in reeds 1 Green Sandpiper on muddy pools by farm (17th) c70 Black-headed Gulls 3 Common Gulls 1 Herring Gull 1 adult Yellow-legged Gull 1 1st year Great Black-backed Gull 116 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (today is the first day this year we have had more than single figures of large gulls) 4 Skylarks SE 1 Grey Wagtail on muddy pools by farm 66 Redwings over in small flocks 1 Fieldfare with Redwings 10 Redpolls flew S 2 Bullfinches (17th) 7 Yellowhammers The Yellow-legged Gull takes my patch year list to 125. |
