Arrived at 13.45 to do WeBS with my regular mate and left at 17.45, the following are the sightings:

Osprey - 1 juv [ seen over Duck Lake and then went very high drifting towards the village ]
Marsh Harrier - 1 [ seen in air at same time as Osprey, at one time they were very close ]
Green Sandpiper - 1
Mute Swan - 27
Kingfisher - 1
Jay - 2
Pied Wag - 1
Common Gull - 20
Black-headed Gull - 49
Coot - 13
Mallard - 27
Tufted Duck - 1
Snipe - 6
Lapwing - 43
Moorhen - 8
Bullfinch - 1m
Canada - 1
Greylag - 117
Cormorant - 2
GSW - 1

Not sure why there was a lack of ducks, someone said it may have something to do with the Otter presence, I cannot see that myself. Someone had seen one Otter earlier but we didn't.

The Osprey put in another appearance but it was seen by my mate and CT at the Grebe Lake late afternoon.

Kind regards

John
