A few hours here this a.m. in the rain, saw some decent sightings:

3 male Cetti's Warbler(1,showing well to left of ness hide on area of cut reed)
1 Water Rail(Which also gave stunning views from ness hide and was watched catching and killing a Common Shrew, which it carried off to no doubt eat.An interesting piece of behaviour and something i certainly hadn't witnessed before.)
1 Jay(Flew west along the border of the reserve, the start of autumn wanderings by this species,no doubt).

Regards

Steve.
