A very pleasant boat trip out on the Wash and up the Welland channel today with a respectable 79 species recorded. The highlights were;

Ruddy shelduck - 1 off Cut End
Eider - 12
Mediterranean gull - 1 adult
Little gull - 2 1st summers
Arctic skua - 2
Gannet - 1
Curlew sandpiper - 7+
Little stint - 2
Greenshank - 5
Ruff - 6
Whimbrel - 4
Knot - 25-30,000
Common sandpiper - ca.10
Common buzzard - 3
Marsh harrier - 5
Hobby - 1
Peregrine - 2-3
Sparrowhawk - 1
Kestrel - 3
Kingfisher - 2
Swift - ca.10
Wheatear - 1
Common seal - ca.20
