Lesser Whitethroat 2 Reed Warbler 1 Whinchat 1 Osprey south at 1210 put up 12 Little Egrets from various creeks A flock of alba wagtails around the lagoon numbered 74 birds, nearly all juvenile birds apart from 4 adult yarrelli and 2 adult alba. Also 3 Yellow Wags and single Wheatear amongst them Regards Nige |

Thanks for the call Nige - We all had good views of the Osprey as it hovered over the lagoons and then drifted S past the Visitor Centre. Also at Gib today: Barred Warbler - 1 'ringed at dawn' by Mick Briggs Spoonbill - 13 Black-tailed Godwit - 100+ Greenshank - 20+ Spotted Redshank - 1 Whimbrel - several heading S Kingfisher Lesser Whitethroat - 10+ Garden Warbler - 7+ Blackcaps,Willow Wbls,Chiffchaffs and Whitethroats Whinchat - 5+ Pied Fly - 2 Spotted Fly - 4+ and all the high tide waders Marsh Harrier |
