Single swift over Willingham by Stow 2.00pm flew SW.

Also Spotted Flycatcher in the church grounds.

a pretty early departure but not late even for moderate numbers until mid September -- later flocks presumably being migrants rather than local breeders

Still regular over Scothern village each evening. At least 5 from the garden yesterday between 7 and 7.30pm. There may have been more. There were several single birds but 5 together was the maximum count. Two together in the rain tonight along with several swallows and House Martins.
