Stayed at Plummers Place, Freiston for big high tides Wednesday pm and Thursday am and highlight was hunting Hobby this morning causing panic among the Dunlin flocks. Saw it take one Dunlin which it subsequently dropped when mobbed by gulls then returned to hunt chasing birds pushed in by the high tide. Unidentified Harrier way across field towards viewing screen. Common, Little and a few Sandwich Terns passing through.

More big tides at good am times in the next few days so worth a visit.

Wader species seen (most in big numbers) include:
Knot
Dunlin
Oystercatcher
Redshank
Spotted Redshank (1)
Greenshank (3)
Curlew Sand (1)
Common Sand (2)
Green Sand (5)
Ringed Plover (12)
Golden Plover (4)
Avocet (2)
Turnstone (10)
Blackwits
Curlew
Whimbrel

Not a recorder so apologies for lack of big numbers or species missed

Jim
