Lifer 193 came in the form of a Turtle Dove on a late birdwatch around Frampton Marsh this evening! One long-standing bird jinx busted! Also: Little Owl - 1 Barn Owl - 1 Yellowhammer - 1 Little Grebe - 2 Little Egret - 5 Grey Heron - 2 Lapwing - plenty. Wonder what 194 will be? Looking to get as many summer birds as poss before migration kicks in. Does anyone know any good sites for Redstart, Ring Ouzel, Nightingale and Pied Flycatcher? |

Whisby for nightingale late April early May is as good as anywhere around here Gib for the others on migration if you don't want to go to far - otherwise I go to Padley Gorge in South Yorkshire in May. |
