In my caravan garden today were several Blue and Long-tailed Tit and 1 House Sparrow, we feed sunflower seed from a feeder.House Sparrow are rare here but common in the village. Evening visit to the beach found 40 Sandwich Tern resting with a few Black-headed and Common Gull and 2 Little Tern fishing in the Haven. No passage waders just a few Redshank, Oystercatcher and Curlew. 2 Barn Owl were hunting over the other side of the Haven. |

My new philosophy is working well. Evening walk up to Pyes Hall for some hoped for early passage migrants (not twitching I hasten to add, but serious scientific study). However managed to see 2 Blue Tit and 4 sparrows, this time Tree Sparrows. Can't wait for tomorrow maybe some Great Tits and I still need Hedge Sparrow for my monthly list. |
