Sorry for delay, but a visit to Kirkby GP reserve last night (1945 to 2045 hrs):

2 Ringed Plovers (male Little Ringed Plover did his best to drive them off because:)
2 Little Ringed Plovers ( with 2 young!)
Common Tern with young
Avocet
2 Oystercatchers
2 Turtle Doves

Female Pochard A94 is (very likely) back. She still has "A" on her nasal tag, however side numbers are worn and unreadable. I suspect its her as she is the only one I have ever seen there and she is getting on now which leads to my "very likely" hypothesis! :D

No Spotted Flycatchers here that I've seen!
Cheers

Heard back from David Rodrigues (co-ordinator for duck nasal marking in Europe. http://www.pt-ducks.com) - he states:

"During the spring/summer there can be accumulation of iron oxides on the saddles and these can become very dark, sometimes almost black… The good news are that during the autumn/winter this problem disappear and the codes become visible again."

No 100% confirmation yet that it is A94.

Thanks
