Hi,

A pair of black-winged stilts on the reedbed were a bit of a surprise find as I was opening the visitor centre with Tony at 09:50 this morning. Unfortunately they flew off high to the west at 10:45.

Also present this morning;
Garganey - 2+
Little gull - 3+
Curlew sandpiper - 1
Peregrine - 1
No sign of the Temminck's stints so far...

John,

If they come back, can you send me an e-mail or Private Message?

Unfortunately I was away for the BWS at Frampton. However, feeling just a little bit pleased as this also means I have WON the 'Next first for the RSPB Lincolnshire Wash Reserves' sweepstake………. I will invest the money wisely! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Your winnings aren't going to stretch to a new pair of Swarovski's, but will stretch to an unhealthy number of muffins from the Frampton visitor centre!!

Inspired choice - although I still can't see how no-one went for Oriental pratincole!

Cheers,

John
