Post subject:  Kirkby Spoonbill

Sorry this a bit late but not been back long:
1 x Spoonbill (found by Eric Buckley): K -on-Bain Gravel Pits. First seen on pit with new sandmartin colony bank and spit then on main pit with hide. Bird eventually flew off high and towards the N East.
Also seen: 1 x Dunlin, 4 x Little Ringed Plover, 3 x Avocet, 1 x Green Woodpecker, 1 x Sparrowhawk, 1 x Garden warbler, 2 x Lesser Whitethroat, 2 x Egyptian Geese with young, approx 30 x Common Terns.
