There will be an LBC watchpoint tomorrow (Saturday 22nd May) at St Wulfram's Church, Grantham to see the Peregrines. (chicks via the TV in the church and adults via telescopes from outside) It will start at 10am and go on to about 4pm. Should be very comfortable to enjoy refreshments from the church's cafeteria whilst watching the action live on the TV screen. See blog for more details.

We arrived at the LBC watchpoint this morning (Sat) at 11.30 and, through the 'scopes provided, we had immediate views of the female Peregrine near the nest site. After a short wait, the male appeared very high up above the Church and then came down to the nest area with a food item ( reckoned to be a Lapwing chick). The female appeared from the nest and there was a food pass. Further views were had of the male and female including in flight.
We called in at the Church live (large) screen display of the nest with its two chicks (plus the female), whilst being entertained by an ongoing organ recital. ( Then on to enjoy the local Belmount Woods in the fine weather. )
Many congratulations and thanks to the staff organising and running the watchpoint so efficiently :
