Tetney Marshes. Female Monty around, Great G Shrike seen by DL near lock gates, 2-3 Marsh Harrier thru, 2 Peregrine, Barn Owl, 7 Blackwit, 2 Whinchat, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Cuckoo, 7 Little Egret, Swifts and Swallows going thru in good numbers with smaller numbers of House and Sand Martin and a few Yellow Wagtail. Gropper by lock gates and 6 Little Tern fishing off fitties yacht club on the morning high tide. |

No sign of the shrike today,but may be have been hiding out of the incessant wind.Birds seen included the following: 124 Dark-bellied Brent 1 female Marsh Harrier(South) 2 Common Sandpiper 1 male Wheatear 1 Greenshank 6 Little Egret 3 Whimbrel 30 Arctic Tern(Flew in from an inland direction at Humberston Fitties,overhead and out over the sea and north towards Spurn) Regards Steve. |
