A Calandra Lark flew south over Seacroft Marsh, calling and was last seen continuing south over the norther boundary of the reserve at approx 0900. The single observer involved has good previous experience of the species......but he does not have a mobile phone......!!!

Cheers

Blimey, did he get record submissible details ? Presumably it disappeared into the agricultural plains of the interior ? We quickly need to organise the entire Lincolnshire birding fraternity into a search party !

just a comment on this and other posts -- would it not be more appropriate to put Calandra Lark in the title rather than Gib? its easier to filter out the Blue Tits if any Rare bird information actually refers to a rare bird if you see what I mean -- or maybe we need to rearrange the web site to actually have a rare and scarce bird section rather the present apparent one and all section??

Checked out the relevant area between 0945 and 1430 today. Needless to say, no sign of a Calandra Lark!!
2 White Wags, 7 Wheatear, Whimbrel and a Common Buzzard south were the highlights
