3 crane over from spurn settled on saltmarsh but distant, went to car to phone it in and unable to refind in the heat haze 12.40 hrs last seen 12.50
also whimbrel
common sand
2 yellow wags
linnets and cuckoo

ps sedge warbler singing at north thorsby

Of interest the 3 Cranes were tracked as follows:
11.16 Heading south near Atwick, E.Yorks
12.15 South over Spurn
12.40 - 12.50 Terry's above report
12.55 I saw the birds heading south over N Somercotes
14.45 Flew over Holme, Norfolk
15.23 Flew over Holkham, Norfolk
16.10 Circling over Cley, Norfolk & then headed towards Salthouse Heath, Norfolk

At Gib Point we watched them head out over the wash towards Holme at about 14:15.

thanks for that guys, explains why i couldnt find them after phoning them in. i had not got the birdnet number on my mobile so i phoned my mate dave sneap in derbyshire to phone them in for me, have to bring my phone upto date :D :D
