A pleasant day on the patch with 3 new species for the year:- 2 singing Cuckoos 3 Yellow Wagtails over 2 Reed Warblers singing at the mere. Also:- 1 Water Rail heard 1 Little Owl calling by my house at 04:15 1 Kingfisher 7 Whitethroats, with 1 already collecting nest material 1 Lesser Whitethroat 10 Linnets 1 pair Bullfinches |
