There was a Hobby over Grebe Lake at Whisby this afternoon. Seen by at least three birders but very early (for Whisby) and to be honest I was a bit sceptical, but some chap got photos and I couldn't argue with the images on the screen on the back of his camera.

Of interest some may like to know there are currently 4 Nightingales back at Whisby, with Coot Lake once again being the favoured location. Activity should pick up once we loose this bone chilling 'northernly' wind!

Regards

Grahame

Nice and warm but with a cold wind. In two and a half hours there on Thursday afternoon and the only warblers I could find were willow warbler, blackcap and chiffchaff - everything else that is there was keeping a low profile + two oystercatchers and little ringed plovers
