Despite all the reports of summer migrants winter hangs on here! At 0750 a Merlin flew over my car near the top of the hill between the Rippingale and Dunsby turnings off the A15. It continued easterly towards the fens. A little later when I returned home to Rippingale shutting the car door disturbed a Redwing from my shrubbery - possibly the same bird that was in the garden a few days ago. Ian |
