A walk around the lagoons produced the following birds:-
Lesser Redpoll - 3
Siskin - 4
L T Tit - 3
Willow Warbler - 1
Shelduck - 5
Teal - 5
Wigeon - 16
Teal - 7
Oystercatcher - 2
Redshank - 3
Pied Wagtail - 5
Buzzard - 1
Sparrowhawk - 1
Mute Swan - 3 (plus 1 new dead, been pulled to bits possibly by mink as I saw 1 mink about 100yd away)
plus penty of Mallard,T Duck,Coot,Moorhen,Canada Geese,Greylag Geese and Lapwing etc.
Please be aware that you need permission to walk around these lagoons from the quarry manager and that sunday is the only day he will allow due to them not working on sundays.
