As I went from the kitchen into the lounge I looked out front window and noticed something odd next to the fence, I was very excited at seeing a Woodcock! Rang my mate and text others telling them of my surprise visitor. Couldn't get the camcorder out quick enough only problem was I hadn't uploaded any footage/stills to the PC as yet and the memory had nearly run out. So ran the video till it ran out of memory and then ran off about forty pics. Then deleted some of the old video footage I took earlier this month and managed to get another few minutes. Also got video/stills with the compact camera. :D

The bird was directly outside the window under cover of the shrubs and Ivy at side of fence. I know it was here from 11.00 to midday, till the postman came and then it disappeared.

Seeing this bird in the garden has made my year up to press.

Regards

John :D :D

Thats a nice find in your garden John, i see them fly across my garden and over the rooftops in Broughton in the evening but it would be ever so nice to see one in the garden, well done.
